Testimonials - Customer feedback on the Phono-Graphix® Method

What parents have to say about Phono-Graphix

My 13 year old daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident when she was 2. As a result, she has had difficulty reading. We have tried more than 10 phonics programs and a host of reading tutors. I was told by educational specialists to stop trying to improve my daughter's skills, and instead, set up accommodations, i.e. books on tape/voice recorder for the blind. My daughter and I traveled across the country to work with [a Phono-Graphix therapist] in a one-week intensive. I was amazed at the improvement in my daughter's skills and confidence after only one week. My daughter's confidence is boosted and her skills significantly enhanced. I would not have believed it if I had not witnessed it myself. The program is not a one-week fix, but it certainly has given us a running start. We will continue practicing the methods, and [our Phono-Graphix therapist] is available to answer questions. I believe she is genuinely interested in my daughter's progress. I cannot recommend the PhonoGraphix method highly enough.

...my highest recommendation! I've referred many other parents of children with learning disabilities and parents of children who want to give their children a solid foundation to reading and I've only heard very warm and thankful feedback.

As a parent, I wanted to thank you for creating such an affordable and fantastic book to teach reading. I purchased the book based on a recommendation during a training. My son, was in first grade, and he had not progressed in reading. It was becoming frustration and overwhelming. Once I started the program with him, last summer, he has made significant progress with his reading, despite his several disabilities. Among his diagnosis is oral-motor dyspraxia, ADHA, and dyslexia. He had made so much progress in the one summer, that I forced the school to continue using the program with him during the school year. The school had started him with Orton-gillingham, however, it was so language intensive, he was getting overwhelmed and confused. This program is so simple and direct that it can help any child. So, as a parent, thank you! As an educator, I hope to eventually convince my school district to pay for me to get the certification in the program.

I have started implementing PG with many students, all different ages, and have found it incredibly impactful already. I love how it sets the child up for success from the beginning - something they've kids have rarely experienced before.

What teachers say about using Phono-Graphix in their classrooms

This is a system of learning reading that is directly based on research of effective strategies. It puts students in a position of knowing and relies on what they already know of words as they are spoken to build their understanding of words as they are written. It is simple, logical and efficient for both teachers and learners.

Maya Sperkacz, Miami Beach, Florida

I have seen real progress with my students. Thank you so much.

Kristine Harris, 1st-3rd grade special ed. teacher, Bothell, Washington

I think the information in this course is going to be extremely useful as I prepare to put the program into full effect next year with my students. I have been able to coach my teachers through a soft implementation of the program this year as they too are currently enrolled in the program. I also look forward to utilizing the teaching technique with my own son. The most beneficial aspect of this program is the hands on approach to learning the code. Students are actively engaged in learning and this was extremely helpful with my most struggling readers this year.

I love the Phono-Graphix method. I see the success of the program in the classroom and with my own children.

What certified practitioners say about using Phono-Graphix in thier clinical practices, home-schooling, tutoring and more

What I love about Phono-Graphix is that every student can benefit from it in one way or another. From Kindergarteners who would learn the "sound pictures" of sounds instead of being burdened with trying to remember the letter name of each word and the sound, to the 6th grader who is beginning to struggle with decoding multi-syllabic words that he encounters in his reading. Instead of teaching phonics rules which all have exceptions, Phono-Graphix teaches a logical way of approaching a word. For the older student, learning the "special endings" and the "dominant" syllable can be extremely helpful. For the younger student, learning that "sound pictures" can have multiple sounds, trying one and if that doesn’t look or sound right, try another sound picture. Phono-Graphix is the best program that encompasses the blending, segmenting and manipulation of sounds while the child is learning. There are no mistakes in Phono-Graphix, only learning situations as even mistakes are used as teaching tools.

What our trainees say about our course

This course was amazing! I loved how it made the English language click. I am spelling better than ever. I cannot wait to see how the children integrate this amazing process and learn how to read with it.

The online training program was great because you are able to complete it in the time frame that suits your schedule.
